Road Directions

From the north

Head for Brighton on the M23/A23. After passing Hickstead Showground on the right take the B2118 exit signposted Hurstpierpoint, Albourne, Henfield.
Follow the B2118 to Albourne and then carry straight on signposted Poynings and Devil’s Dyke.
Turn right onto the B2117 past Singing Hills Golf Club. At Shaves Thatch turn right onto the A281 signposted Poynings and Devil’s Dyke.
Parkwood is a few hundred yards along on the left hand side.

From the east

Head for Brighton on the M27/A27. Exit at the A23 signposted London and head north in the middle lane past the junction for Burgess Hill. Then fork left at the petrol station signposted Horsham and Henfield. Follow the A281 to the small roundabout at Poynings and turn right past the garden centre on the right. Parkwood is a little further along on the right. Be careful, cars travel fast along this road and you need to indicate right early, soon after the cattery on the left.
The entrance to Parkwood is on the right.

From the west

Stagecoach

Service 17 Brighton Churchill Square to Horsham – passes the site, request stop about 200 metres from site.

Service 104 passes the site and can be used for a morning outing to Henfield.

Brighton & Hove Bus Company

Service 77 to Devil’s Dyke approx every hour takes 20 minutes from Brighton Station to the Devil’s Dyke Hotel, which is about 4 miles south of Parkwood.

By Train

The nearest train station is Hassocks, about 3½miles away. Brighton Station is about 8½ miles away.

On foot

Leave the South Downs Way at Devil’s Dyke and head North, down towards Poynings – see walkers’ map.
