The Facilities

Camping

There are lots of clearings, in a variety of shapes and sizes, throughout Parkwood. Both the main and top fields are available for activities (and camping by special request).

Water

Water is distributed via standpipes at strategic locations across the site.

Fires

There are altar fires on many sites. There is an ample supply of firewood.

Camper's Toilets & Showers

Available next to the complex of buildings. There is a chemical toilet disposal point situated close to the top field.

The Tuck Shop

Open regularly and well stocked with badges and soft drinks, sweets etc. You can also buy orienteering maps from the Tuck Shop.

The Tidy Cabin

A general purpose hall.

The Dining Room

Equipped for 40 people and comes with a fully equipped kitchen.

The Bunk House

Will accommodate 36 people in rooms sleeping from 2 to 8 people.

Indoor Toilet and Shower

Facilities are provided.

The Langton Chalet

Situated away from the other buildings in its own clearing suitable for camping and activities. It is set up as a study centre with information about trees, flora and fauna that can be found around Parkwood and has a weather-station. The chalet and it's site may be booked either together or individually.

The main buildings (Tidy Cabin, Dining Room and Bunkhouse) are usually let as a single complex, but may be booked individually if available.
