Taps and Water Supplies

Taps & Water Supplies   Taps can be found outside the east and west walls of the main buildings and beside the main path.   Most campers will use the tap on the east wall, adjacent to the ladies’ toilets, and accessible from the main field.

All the water is ‘drinking water’ from the mains supply.  The supply to the site is metered – and expensive – so please try not to waste the water by making sure that the taps are turned off after use.   For this reason we also discourage the use of hosepipes to bring water to the individual sites.

To prevent damage to pipes during the cold winter months, the supply to some taps will be shut off; this is usually around November to March.  The outside taps on the east and west walls of the main building remain in use throughout the year.

There are two ‘washing up’ stations; one beside the main path next to the Main Field, the other at the eastern end of the Newtimber site.
