Information for Duke of Edinburgh Groups

Parkwood is an ideal location for an overnight stay, or as a base for extended training over several days.

There are 19 camping areas of various sizes, so the group leaders can divide larger groups and also provide a separate camping area for Leaders.

The site is as safe and secure as we can make it; it is fenced, and there is only one entrance / exit and that is on the A281.   Safeguarding is a priority, and it is a condition of booking that adult leaders should hold in in-date DBS Certificate.

There is good parking for staff cars and school minibuses, even sufficient space for two coaches.

Most importantly, there is easy access to a network of Public Footpaths, and we are only around 30 minutes walk away from the South Downs Way.

There is a wealth of other useful information elsewhere on this website, and if you have any questions, please contact the Booking Secretary.

Important Information: We have had to decommission the outdoor washrooms and Showers to make way for  the installation of a new Shower Block, so as at May 2018 there are no showers available for use by Campers.  We expect to have Showers available before the Autumn camping season.
